ICE OR BOILING WATER?

Which one is hotter? Ice water or boiling water? Off course everybody would say boiling water. But that answer would be totally wrong if you see an experiment done by the Sandia National Laboratory, USA.

The researchers have succeeded turning ice cold water into ice that the temperature is hooter than boiling water! Using a machine that called the Z machine, the researchers give an extreme condition to the experiment water.

The Z machine is a machine that can create heat that is higher than the sun surface temperature! In order to avoid vaporization, the researchers give pressure up to 70 thousands atmosphere to the water.


Lebih panas mana, air es atau air mendidih? Tentu semua akan menjawab air mendidih. Tapi, jawaban itu menjadi salah jika melihat eksperimen yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Nasional Sandia, Amerika Serikat.

Peneliti disana berhasil mengubah air menjadi es yang memiliki suhu lebih panas daripada air mendidih! Dengan menggunakan mesin yang disebut mesin Z, para peneliti memberikan kondisi ekstrim pada air percobaan.

Mesin Z adalah sebuah mesin yang dapat menghasilkan panas lebih tinggi daripada suhu permukaan matahari! Agar tak menguap, peneliti memberikan tekanan sebesar 70 000 atmosfer pada air tersebut.
