How scientists or archeologist can determine the age of an ancient object. The method is by calculating a certain radioactive isotopic reaction on the fossil. This method is the one that mostly done by the archeologists. The archeologist will check the connection between the fossil and the soil where it is found. By compare it with other fossil that is found on the site, the archeologist will determine when the fossil was arrived on the site.
The radiocarbon is used to determine the age of the fossil by measuring the carbon 14 content. Carbon 14 is a natural isotope that contains by the fossil after all the years it was burried.
Bagaimana caranya para ilmuwan atau arkeolog menentukan usia suatu benda purba. Caranya dengan mengukur reaksi isotop radioaktif tertentu pada fosil. Cara ini yang paling sering dikakukan. Arkeolog akan memeriksa hubungan fosil dengan lapisan tanah tempat ia ditemukan.
